Available worldwide, we are experienced with all religious and cultural traditions, and support clients and their families with every aspect of funeral arrangements—before, during, and after the service.
What is an Everest Funeral Concierge?
A concierge (“pronounced kon-see-air-zh”) is someone who provides outstanding service personalized to meet the needs and requests of the client and their family. At Everest, our concierge services are provided by our team of highly trained, knowledgeable Advisors who are all licensed funeral directors working exclusively for Everest.
What happens near or at the time of death? How are our Funeral Concierge Services delivered?
The family can contact Everest any time, and a knowledgeable Advisor will answer – 24/7/365. No recordings. No queuing. No chatbots.
A Senior Advisor who is a licensed funeral director is assigned to the family to provide 24-hour assistance throughout the funeral process and will remain the sole point of contact for the family.
If a funeral plan is already in place, that’s great, but if no plan has been made, we will help the family create a personalized funeral plan. We can set up a toll-free conference call so that family members in different locations can participate in the funeral planning process.
The appointed Everest Advisor will check prices, compare options, and talk to the local funeral homes, so your family doesn’t have to deal with sales pressure. They’ll put all the pricing information together in a way that’s easy for everyone to understand.
Is Everest affiliated with any funeral home(s)?
No, we are not associated with any funeral service providers, we do not sell funeral goods or services, nor do we profit from your decision-making.
Our only job is to provide you with support and information so you can make the decisions that feel right for you.
I’ve outlined my wishes in my will. Isn’t that good enough?

Having a will is definitely important, but it’s not the best place to share your funeral wishes. Most of the time, wills aren’t found or read until after the funeral has already happened.

We will provide you with a suite of easy-to-use online tools designed to simplify your funeral planning process and prepare and organize important documents, ensuring that everything is secure and conveniently available online or via our mobile app.

Who is responsible for communicating the My Wishes plan to the funeral home?
If you’ve completed your plan online and/or mailed a paper version to Everest, an Advisor will first coordinate any additional details with your family and then work with the funeral home to ensure your wishes are honoured.
Can an Everest Funeral Advisor help my family if I die away from home?
Yes. Our Advisors know how to help your family with this type of circumstance and can quickly assist them make the necessary decisions. Everest is very experienced with repatriation laws and working with consulates and airlines.
What’s more, your final expense policy has a transportation benefit, so if you die more than 200 km from your primary residence, an additional amount of up to $2,000 will be payable to cover the expense of transporting your remains back to your primary residential area.
Does Everest pay for the cost of a funeral?
Everest doesn’t cover funeral costs, but they can ease the financial burden by helping your family stay within budget and avoid unnecessary expenses. Everest will help to fast-track your insurance claim with Assumption Life, so funds will be available when they’re needed most.
How can a Funeral Advisor help my family if the cost of my funeral is greater than the value of my life insurance policy?

Everest’s Funeral Advisors know how to find funeral products and services that fit any budget, so your family can plan a meaningful service without overspending.

Why do I need Everest to help me compare funeral prices?
Most people can look up funeral prices, but it’s tough to know what to ask, and price lists are often confusing. On top of that, making choices quickly during a stressful time isn’t easy. Our Advisors are licensed funeral directors who know what decisions families need to make and use their experience to help guide your family through the process—honestly and without bias.
How current are the prices in the PriceFinder℠ database?

A team of Advisors are regularly updating the PriceFinder℠ database. Every funeral home in the country is contacted by an Everest Advisor at least once a year to verify that our database contains current pricing.

How much money will I save using Everest?
We can’t promise exactly how much money your family will save, but we’ll show them ways to cut out unnecessary costs and keep to a budget. With Everest most families end up spending thousands less than they would have otherwise.
